Russian to English translation in Islamabad
Many Pakistani doctors and engineers studied in Russia, Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan, and return with Russian degrees, transcripts and certificates. Councils, employers and universities here usually need them in English. We translate Russian into English and spell names from Cyrillic exactly as in your passport.
Documents we translate for Russian
Russian to English requests usually come from graduates of universities in Russia and Central Asia, starting with degrees and transcripts.
Good to know
- Russian is written in the Cyrillic alphabet, and one name can be written in Latin letters in several ways, such as Aleksandr or Alexander. Send the spelling from your passport.
- Russian names have three parts: a given name, a patronymic formed from the father's name, and a family name, as in Ivan Petrovich Smirnov. All three matter when officials compare documents.
- Russian appears on official documents in several countries, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Tell us where your document was issued, because the names of offices and forms differ.
- Degrees from Russia and Central Asia usually come with a separate supplement listing subjects and hours. Send the supplement with the diploma, because readers often ask for both.

Questions and answers
Can you translate my Russian medical degree into English?
Yes. Medical and other degrees from Russia, Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan are common requests. Send the diploma, the supplement with subjects and hours, and any transcript, and check with your council or employer what else they need.
How are Russian names spelt in the English translation?
Names written in Cyrillic can be spelt in Latin letters in several ways. We use the spelling in your passport, and for other people named in the document we follow any spelling you give us.
My document is from Kyrgyzstan or Kazakhstan. Is it still Russian?
Often it is in Russian, sometimes alongside Kyrgyz or Kazakh. Show us the document, tell us which parts the reader needs in English, and we will confirm what we can translate. Stamps and seals in Kyrgyz or Kazakh are described in the translation, with their text translated where it can be read.
Can I send Russian documents on WhatsApp?
Yes. Send clear photos or scans on WhatsApp or through the quote form, and we will reply with what the translation involves. Bring the originals to our office if the reader needs to see them. A photo of each page on its own, taken straight on, is easier to read than several pages in one picture.
