Document translation

Birth certificate translation

A birth certificate is often the first document asked for in a visa, school or family application abroad. We translate union council and NADRA birth certificates, and certificates issued in other countries. Every name, date and entry is carried across exactly as it appears.

When people need it

  • Visa and immigration applications, including family and spouse visas
  • Enrolling a child in a school or university abroad
  • Family matters abroad, such as registering a child's birth or applying for nationality

What to bring

  • The original certificate, or a clear scan of the whole page
  • The back of the certificate too, if anything is printed or stamped on it
  • The child's and parents' names as spelled in their passports

What the translator checks

Before your translation is ready, we check these details against your original.

  • Names. The child's and parents' names, spelled as in the passports you give us.

  • Dates. The date of birth and the date of registration, with the month written in words so neither can be misread.

  • Place of birth. Town, district and hospital or home, exactly as recorded.

  • Registration numbers. The certificate number and any identity numbers, copied digit by digit.

  • Stamps and signatures. Each stamp, seal and signature is marked in the translation, and any readable text in it is translated.
